Our film also includes intense actions scenes which suspenseful music might not do the job, so intense and fast paced action music might be more suitable.
Looking at suitable songs, we found the song '65 Hunnid'. Here is the music video of the song we chose:
Vince Staples raps from the perspective of a young man growing up in 1990s California heavily influenced by the criminal underworld that thrived in this period. Our film is trying to capture the zeitgeist of the time whilst updating the setting to present day England with major themes including; drugs, violence and weapons. This is why we have chose '65 Hunnid" as the theme to our film.
Other options we considered were 'Shades of Blue' by Vic Mensa and 'Gang Related' by Logic.

Music is intellectual property and major artists such as those aforementioned or their respective music labels must give consent for their music to be used in the majority of commercial and some personal projects. In our case, we were unable to attain the necessary licensing required to use the tracks in the short time frame and as a result had to revert to royalty free music tracks for inclusion in the film.
Instead of using one of the hip-hop tracks above we used a royalty free instrumental track by producer Danny E.B:
To fit in with the themes of the film we also added background music associated with the action genre, here is 'Run' by Ross Bugden, another royalty free track:
